Welcome to the Move Networks Blog

Welcome to the Move Networks blog. I’m John Edwards, CEO of Move Networks, and I’m pleased to spend some time with you discussing the current state of video streaming and other technology.

In this blog, I hope we can have open and frank conversations about the technology behind video streaming, the revenue possibilities, and how our services and others can help broadcasters find reasonable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions.

I realize the system got overwhelmed with the # of people accessing oprah & Tolle tonight. I noticed even though I downloaded move media from oprah website, that maybe I should have deleted adobe or had some different settings? I had a great deal of trouble once we got about 30 to 45 minutes into the webcast. In fact it was impossible to even watch or follow. I fully understand and realize we can access it tomorrow in transcript or on video or audio.
Would it have be better to offer some audio only coverage for those that want it??
Is there anything I should be doing?

Brenda, Thanks for your comment. We apologize that you weren’t able to watch Week 1 of Oprah’s event live. You didn’t do anything wrong, and there’s no need to delete other media players in order to use Move Media Player. Actually, the system was not overwhelmed, but there was a coding error in the caching infrastructure. The error has been corrected and you should have success now. Thanks for watching, and enjoy Week 3 coming up!
