Senior Interaction Designer/Prototyper
As an Interaction Designer, you will work with product development teams to create concepts and models and to design user interfaces in order to advance the experience of all Move Networks products and services.
Primary Duties
- You will work with the product team to identify requirements and develop user-models, personas, etc.
- You will help in crafting a terrific user experience, and working with engineers to push the limits of technology. You will also be working with the product team closely to communicate such limitations and come up with substitutions and contingencies.
- You will conduct the necessary front-end research and support usability efforts throughout the product development cycle. You will work closely with visual designers to achieve a branded look-and-feel that meets existing corporate standards and guidelines.
- Rapid prototype any presentation layer that supports Move Network’s products/services, utilizing technologies such as HTML/XHTML, CSS/CSS2, JSP, Javascript, Flash, and Silverlight.
Education and Experience
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
- 5+ years of experience designing Web or software applications
- Formal education in interaction design, digital design, or related field preferred
- Solid knowledge of core Web graphics tools (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks…) and understanding of current web technologies
- Mastery of Web design principles, information design, typography, color, layout
- Ability to demonstrate previous work via URLs.
