Senior Software Test Engineer (SDK QA Lead)
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is for an experienced software test engineer with experience in functional, performance, reliability and system integration testing across a variety of platforms. Primary responsibilities will include contributing to delivery schedules, building test plans, working with software engineers to interpret and thoroughly understand functional specifications, driving test case automation where appropriate, and delivering a well-tested product on schedule. This individual should being self-driven to execute tasks with limited supervision. Prior experience with enterprise class database management systems and data warehousing is highly preferred.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years experience with reliability, performance, functional, and automation testing
- Previous experience in a lead role highly preferred
- Strong documentation skills for capturing testing results, metrics, exit reports, and other needed information
- Experience with enterprise class database management systems and data warehousing
- Interpret functional requirements and design documents to develop, maintain, and execute test cases
- Experience with network architectures including, routing, switching, firewalls and security, web caches, storage area networks, clustered storage, and etc. highly preferred

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors Degree or higher (CS, EE, Math, Information Technology or other technical area preferred)
Language Skills:
- Strong SQL skills
- Object oriented programming (Python, Java, C++, Ruby, and etc)
- Advanced Scripting abilities (i.e. BASH, Perl, PHP, and etc)
Other Technical Skills:
- Advanced system administration skills for setting up and maintaining testing and staging environments
- Advanced Linux knowledge (Red Hat Enterprise, Debian, SUSE Enterprise, and etc)
