v|100 fosters collaboration among entrepreneurs and showcases Utah’s most successful venture entrepreneurs.

SALT LAKE CITY - March 17, 2008 - vSpring Capital announced today the 2008 class of the vSpring Capital Top 100 Venture Entrepreneurs, also known as the v|100.

Today vSpring Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm headquartered in Salt Lake City, announced this year’s list of v|100 winners.

The v|100 was created in 2004 by vSpring Capital as a tool to recognize outstanding entrepreneurs who have ties to the state of Utah. Members of the v|100 become part of a community of entrepreneurs that fosters collaboration and support among its members as they build and grow some of the most exciting companies. Each year, vSpring asks members of the Utah business community to nominate individuals who are most likely to lead a successful startup technology venture in the next five to seven years in a c-level executive role. Those nominees who garner the most votes from their peers in a nominee-only second step of the annual voting process are then elected into the v|100.

“The number of nominations submitted this year exceeds all previous years and we are pleased with the results that the v|100 voting process produces.” said Paul Ahlstrom, managing director of vSpring Capital. “New venture creation is critical to the growth of our economy, and the v|100 program consistently identifies individuals who are likely to generate successful ventures in the coming years. The quality of the v|100 recipients is an indication of the vibrancy of Utah’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and talent pool.” Ahlstrom said.

Last year the v|100 program formalized voting rules and added an audit committee consisting of David Jolley - Partner at Ernst & Young, Mark Bonham - Partner at Ray Quinney and Nebeker, and Professor Scott Schaefer at the University of Utah. “This committee has performed a critical function of overseeing the process and ensuring valid results.” said Dennis Wood, director of human capital at vSpring Capital. “The v|100 community is a select group of individuals who are handpicked by their peers in the region. We have learned to observe closely who makes this important list of entrepreneurs each year.” said Mark Bonham.

Facts about the v|100 Class of 2008

A complete list of members in the 2008 v|100 is enclosed below. Be advised that positions/companies noted were current as of the date of the compilation of the 2008 v|100 list of members.

Recognized for game-changing strategy, innovation, and leadership

AMERICAN FORK, UT, January 22, 2008 – Move Networks, a leading provider of live and on-demand television-quality Internet video services, today announced that it has been chosen by AlwaysOn as one of the OnMedia 100 Winners. Inclusion in the OnMedia 100 signifies major developments in the creation of marketing tools, services, venues, and advertising, branding, and public relation campaigns. Move Networks was specially selected by the AlwaysOn editorial team and other industry experts spanning the globe, based on a set of five criteria: innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media buzz.

Move Networks delivers broadcast-quality streaming video to online viewers. Move Networks gives viewers full-screen, HD video without the buffering, stalling, stopping, and low-quality viewing experiences that plague other technologies. This high-quality experience, coupled with comprehensive viewer metrics and the delivery of highly relevant ads, enables major broadcaster and content publishers to attract and capture the attention of today’s viewer, who demands access to premium content anytime, anywhere.

“It is an honor to be recognized by AlwaysOn and the OnMedia 100 as a company that is providing new and innovation solutions to embrace this new digital age,” said John Edwards, CEO of Move Networks. “An explosion of new technology and a cultural transition towards interactivity is disrupting the era of traditional, mass-audience entertainment. Content, followed closely by advertising, is shifting to the Internet and mobile devices. Move Networks is proving that a high quality viewer experience leads to an increase in average viewing times, which means more ad availabilities for much higher revenue.”
Move Networks and the OnMedia 100 Top Private Companies will be honored at the OnMedia conference scheduled to occur on January 28-30, 2008 at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City. This two-and-a-half day executive event will feature technology CEO’s from Silicon Valley leading presentations and high-level debates with the global advertising and media establishment, about disrupting user behavior and creating new opportunities in the marketing, branding, advertising, and public relations industries.

Seattle, WA—January 8, 2008

Widevine® Technologies, the only provider of multiformat, multiplatform DRM and the recognized “Switzerland of DRM,” today announced it has integrated with Move Networks, a leading provider of digital media publishing and delivery services. The integration delivers a complete and secure end-to-end solution for monetizing online video delivery and enables major media companies to secure Internet TV, copyrights, ad-based revenue and geo-political boundaries. Widevine and Move Networks have successfully deployed their solution with Warner Bros offering secure, full episodes of CBS’ “Two and a Half Men,” one of the top-rated comedies on broadcast television. Warner Bros has made past episodes of the hit show available to over 150 CW local affiliate web sites nationwide using the Widevine/Move solution to securely deliver online TV distribution of full episodes.

Move Networks gives content publishers the ability to deliver broadcast-quality streaming video and now with the Widevine integration, complete security to the desktop. This high-quality experience, coupled with comprehensive viewer metrics, and the delivery of highly relevant ads, enables content publishers to attract and capture the attention of today’s viewer that demand access to premium content anytime, anywhere. Utilizing the On2 VP7 (<exchange name="AMEX">AMEX</exchange>: ONT), the Move Networks player enables online broadcasters, TV studios, film companies, sports leagues and content owners to provide high resolution and quality streams to viewers.

Widevine’s security integration provides greater monetization opportunities for content owners and is compliant with users on any platform — Mac or PC — which is an industry first for premium secure content.
“As the leader in IPTV content security internationally, we have existing relationships with leading content companies and studios which makes us keenly aware of their security concerns and standards. We have translated this expertise into our digital media content protection technology. Widevine ensures content is paid for and copyrights are protected while, in other cases, we ensure advertising integrity is maintained within the video, a critical component to maximizing revenue generation through Internet media distribution,” said Brian Baker, CEO Widevine Technologies. “Integrating with Move Networks allows media companies to access our security platform from Move’s TV-like interface solution enabling content owners to deliver their premium, ad-supported content within the Move Networks platform securely.”

Some of these utilities can record and store a stream as a downloadable file that can easily be pirated and uploaded into a file sharing network.
