Contentinople | November 26, 2008

iStreamPlanet Co. is readying a new video management platform that will support Flash, Silverlight, and Move Networks file formats in a single offering.

Stop us if you’ve heard this pitch before. The new browser-based video management platform, which iStreamPlanet plans to introduce next month, can handle all workflows, asset management, and distribution—even editing!—for media companies looking to put their video on the Web.

But iStreamPlanet has one thing that CEO Mio Babic claims the others don’t have, which is a system that has been built from the ground up to natively support management of video assets from multiple sources and across multiple file formats.

VideoNuze | November 19, 2008

Once again I’m highlighting a few key industry items that I think are worth noting:

Move Networks and Permission TV Partner – The companies are announcing today a mutual reseller relationship and technology integration. I got an update from their marketing heads earlier this week; the goal here is to accelerate the deployment of HD-quality video to broader segments of the market.

The deal seems like a win for both companies. Move has concentrated on major networks, Permission has focused on strong mid-tail content and brands/agencies to enable deeper engagement and interactivity.

After working together on a few major projects, PermissionTV Inc. and Move Networks Inc. have decided to make it easier for customers to choose their conjoined technologies in the future.
