Move Adaptive Stream

After video is encoded, Move Adaptive Stream delivers the content to the client’s Web browser— one streamlet after another—for viewing. Move Adaptive Stream’s revolutionary transport protocol delivers the video with a near-instantaneous start, minimizing packet loss and latency by optimizing TCP connections.
A unique characteristic of Move Adaptive Stream is its ability to adapt to the available bandwidth on each viewer’s Internet connection at all times during the stream. Whereas other streaming solutions are forced to stall or buffer as bandwidth varies, Move Adaptive Stream seamlessly adjusts image quality to fit available bandwidth.

Device Integration
Move Adaptive Stream allows content providers to easily encode and deliver to any device the highest quality video content that the device can support. Devices range from large screen, IP-enabled televisions to mobile Internet devices and cellular phones. Move’s encoding technology is unique in that it enables publishers to “encode once, streaming anywhere.” This includes streaming to any device, no matter the screen size or platform.
Manufacturers of set-top boxes, mobile Internet devices, IP-enabled televisions, and other consumer electronics benefit from Move’s adaptive streaming SDK. The OS-agnostic SDK provides information for porting Move’s adaptive streaming to different chipsets and devices.
