Move Networks Unveils Enhanced Reach and Audience Engagement Metrics with Move Monetize
New Analytics, In-Depth Reports Help Media Companies Better Monetize their Internet Television Programming
American Fork, UT, July 15, 2008—Move Networks, the leader in Internet television services, today announced that it is launching an upgrade to its analytics and reporting tool, Move Monetize. This upgrade, which will be fully available in the fall for the 2008-2009 TV season, provides media companies with extremely accurate intelligence on both the reach of their Internet television audience, and the audience’s overall engagement.
Move Monetize helps media companies gain a better understanding of who is watching their Internet television programming, when and where they are watching it, and even how they are watching it. With this information, media companies can make better Internet television programming and advertising decisions, and therefore increase their Internet television programming profits. In addition, Move Monetize continues to protect viewers’ privacy. Data can only be viewed in aggregate, and no personally identifiable information is ever attached to it.
“Move Monetize enables media companies to secure actionable viewer analytics that they can use to optimize their programming and better monetize their Internet television programming,” said John Edwards, CEO, Move Networks. “We are providing both media companies and their advertiser partners with a clearer, deeper understanding of their audiences’ Internet television viewing experiences than they were ever able to secure before.”
New features included in Move Monetize:
- Improved Viewership Reports
- View information on the number of unique viewers watching an Internet television program for time periods ranging from minutes to years.
- Capture information on drop-out points, rewind activity and click-throughs.
- Improved Program Reports
- Secure viewership details on a particular program, program episode, or even episode segment.
- See which programs are being watched on which days, at which times, in which geographical areas.
- Improved Streaming Reports
- Learn the bit rates and Gigabits served by Move Media Player, as well as the quality of service, quality of experience, and the cost of service.
- New “Top” Lists
- Quickly view top programs, episodes, viewing days and times, locations, bit rates and affiliates.
- More Custom Reports
- Create reports showing details on partner site, screener and ad campaign viewership.
Unlike other viewer analytics and reporting tools and services, Move Networks’ analytics are all based on each viewer’s individual Internet television experience with the Move Networks player. Each individual viewing experience is recorded directly from the site of viewing. Furthermore, unlike other recently released statistics on Internet television, Move Networks data do not come from sample group estimates, web analytic services or third-party downloadable clients, which can often lead to inaccurate reports and misleading information.
“With Move Monetize, media companies no longer have to wonder what the ‘real’ ratings are for their Internet television programming.” said Edwards. “What you see in the reports is the actual viewer activity–it is that simple.”
Move Monetize 2.0’s analytics can be retrieved by publishers via a convenient Web interface any time of day. The data are presented in intuitive, graphical formats that analysts can parse and sort to better understand ROI.
In addition, Move Monetize 2.0 reports can be:
- Exported to Excel, PDF, and XML
- Emailed to users on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule
- Viewed in graph or dashboard format
- Saved as “Favorites” for quick access
- Monitored by multiple users with different rights or roles
